I offer long and short term therapy. There are many reasons why people seek therapy or psychoanalysis. Some people have a specific issue that they want to focus on, while others feel unhappy, lost, depleted, and generally dissatisfied in their life without exactly knowing why. Desire for personal growth, curiosity, or a self-care, are also good reasons to seek therapy. I invite you to reach out to me. I might be able to help you.

This 10-week, in-person group will teach DBT skills to teens wanting to learn skills in better regulating their emotions, controlling maladaptive or impulsive urges/behaviors, being more mindful, and/or being more effective interpersonally.
Therapy is about both addressing specific issues which may be getting in our way as well as cultivating a healthy curiosity about ourselves, our patterns, and our experiences. Life is wrought with transitions which can catch us off-guard, and it is common to feel unsure as to whether we are on the right path. Thankfully, these can be successfully navigated collaboratively and discreetly through a relationship with a trusted professional. Gaining an understanding of ourselves through identifying our blind spots is the first step in establishing a life that is both purposeful and fulfilling.
New group in formation, to begin in mid-March 2012, for adults, 20-40 with relationship and work issues.

My postgraduate studies and extensive experience have given me confidence to treat many types of people. Thus far, I have successfully treated thousands of people, individually, in couples and group in psychotherapy.
My style is to be interactive and supportive, listening carefully and providing a safe and secure atmosphere for you to discuss your special concerns and conflicts.
This small group provides an opportunity for rising women college students to discuss and prepare for the challenges of drinking and substance use on campus. By exploring individual concerns, the group will discuss personal decisions and strategies to reduce risk and manage social pressures.
I bring over 30 years of experience to my work. In a warm and safe environment, we will work together to help you gain relief from your concerns, including relationships, depression, anxiety, traumatic stress or substance misuse. We'll also explore more deeply what may be the source of ongoing emotional difficulties. I use flexible methods that are right for you, integrating evidence-based approaches such as CBT, mindfulness and relaxation with traditional talk therapy. You will develop new insights, create strategies to manage stressors, enhance your strengths, and be better able to make healthy choices for yourself.
Are you or someone you know recovering from COVID, but continue to experience long-term symptoms (e.g., fatigue, difficulty sleeping, headaches, brain 'fog', pain ), and experiencing a decline in quality of your life? Do you feel anxious, depressed or dismissed by family and friends or others close to you? Join this group! You will be able to talk about your pains (both physical and mental), find a sense of solidarity and sympathy, and feel less alone. You will learn to identify and verbalize all your thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive group environment. This is a safe place. Reach out.

The group is designed to treat individuals suffering from the effects of chemical substances, esp. alcohol, drugs and other addictive disorders. The focus is on addictive personalities. I view chemical dependency as a symptom of the addictive personality. The group facilitator encourages the members of the group to assist in making the rules which will help govern the group process. Group size is limited to 8 members. All members must be screened by way of a psychosocial assessment including a Treatment Plan. Please call before visiting the group. All contacts are by appointment only.

I am available for psychoanalytic psychotherapy to address life struggles, manage anxiety, depression, dissatisfaction and indecision. It is a brave and optimistic step to begin therapy which has the power to heal old wounds, renew self confidence, and expand emotional experience. I have a special interest in helping individuals and families improve communication regarding adoption and donor assisted reproduction. It is never too late to talk with children. Adult resistance to these conversations can reflect difficult life experiences, especially regarding infertility, including experiences of shame and embarrasment.

As a wise farmer learns to use manure as a fertilizer, I can assist you in understanding and using your suffering wisely, and learning to profit from it. I am silent when need be, yet I am also very willing to respond to your questions and to dialogue with you in a very direct way when necessary.

In my group, members work together on practising ways to deepen their relationships, especially with others who matter in their life. Group is a place to stretch your emotional and relationship muscles. How do you do this? By taking the risk to share your thoughts and feelings in the room in the present moment with others. Over time, group members feel more comfortable speaking their truth in a way that brings them closer to others. Through taking risks at being more open, honest and vulnerable, group members find greater freedom to live life more fully, freely, and with greater joy.
