Jamie Gruman, Ph.D., is a Full Professor and Senior Research Fellow in the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada). He is also a founding member of the Canadian Positive Psychology Association and served two terms as Chair of the board. An applied social psychologist by training, he is lead editor of the books Applied Social Psychology: Understanding and Addressing Social and Practical Problems, Boost: The Science of Recharging Yourself in an Age of Unrelenting Demands, and his latest book, Advanced Introduction to Employee Engagement. Jamie’s research and writing focuses largely on how we can live and work as richly and effectively as possible.

A frequent keynote speaker, Jamie has spoken for numerous Fortune 500, not-for-profit, and public organizations including General Motors, Deloitte, Ford, Accenture, The Children’s Wish Foundation, and Departments and Agencies of the Government of Canada. He often writes for, and is quoted in, the media and has appeared in NBC news, Time, Oprah, Inc., and Fast Company magazines, in addition to the blog of the World Economic Forum.
