Megan K. McBride, Ph.D., is a research analyst at CNA’s Countering Threats and Challenges Program, a non-profit research and analysis organization, a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Strategic Studies at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, a visiting postdoctoral fellow working on countering violent extremism with a team at the Harvard School of Public Health, part-time faculty at Boston College. Her research includes terrorism, radicalization, religious and ideological violence, and the theory of religion. Previously, she was a postdoctoral fellow in national security affairs at the U.S. Naval War College and a middle east intelligence analyst with the National Security Agency. She holds a Ph.D. from Brown University and an M.A. In government from Johns Hopkins University.
