David Hallford, Ph.D., is a registered clinical psychologist, with experience across various settings, including public and community mental health, inpatient wards, university clinics, and private practice. As Senior Lecturer at Deakin University, he chairs the Psychopathology unit, teaching psychology students about mental illness, and conducts research on factors that maintain mental illness and develops related interventions. David has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers, including in top-ranking journals in his field of clinical psychology and psychology more broadly. He has won a range of competitive awards for funding, totally to almost $1M, and has given talks at prestigious institutions, such as Cambridge University, the University of Tokyo, and the National Institute for Mental Health and Neurosciences in India. He is a board member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA). He currently resides in Australia, working in his private practice, Be Psychology and Mental Health, in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne.
