Dr. Amelia Aldao, Ph.D., is a Licenced Clinical Psychologist and the Founder of Together CBT, a practice in New York City specializing in anxiety, stress, panic, and OCD. She was previously an Assistant Professor of Psychology at The Ohio State University, where she was the director of a laboratory studying anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, and mindfulness. Dr. Aldao has published over 60 scientific articles and book chapters on anxiety and CBT and has served as an action editor of various scientific journals. She has 10+ years of experience conducting cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and is currently training Psychiatry Residents at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and Clinical Psychology Graduate Students at Columbia University. Dr. Aldao holds leadership positions in the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). She obtained her Ph.D. from Yale University, did her clinical internship (residency) at Cornell–New York Presbyterian Hospital, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. She is very passionate about science dissemination and helping people access evidence-based therapy, such as CBT.
