Managing Chaos With Resilience Coaching

Positive change and sustainable outcomes through resilience.

Without a doubt, multiple social needs exist. The passage of time has witnessed an increase in social concern for numerous situations. Common issues of disease, health crisis, increased pressure on service organizations, specific problems (e.g., substance abuse), philosophical questions, and other demands impact people.

Problems are not resolved when multiple elements remain fragmented, not functioning as a single unit to address them. A rise in stress, adversity, and trauma is not limited to an individual. It is present in organizations, groups, a combination of individuals, or a person. Stress often results in increased sick leave, performance issues, complaints, anxiety, and other negative feelings. Sustainable solutions remain elusive.

Resilience research demonstrates that individual adaptation to change occurs when people are provided with the tools to overcome concerns and inertia. Resilience coaching is a program that results in positive change and sustainable outcomes. Coaching assists with goal setting and overcoming obstacles that inhibit their acquisition.

A coach makes a positive difference to resolve issues and help manage complex problems. Resilience is the power to adapt well to adversity, reacquire balance, and proceed forward with optimism. The resilience coach determines a positive path forward, resulting in sustainable outcomes.

Training in resilience coaching allows recovery from stress disorders and traumatic events. Reinforcing individual coping skills increases the likelihood they will demonstrate resilience and not become overwhelmed by change that increases concern and demand on the individual.

The "four corners" of problem-solving are education, prevention, treatment, and job responsibility fulfillment. Resilience coaching fulfills these four corners to provide a proficient and principled organizational program.
