Maclen Stanley is a Harvard Law School graduate, practicing attorney in California and author of the book The Law Says What?: Stuff You Didn’t Know About the Law (but Really Should!). He currently runs a law firm dedicated to pursuing claims of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and gender discrimination. He is also a Special Advisor to the Harvard Law School Gender Violence Program.

Prior to his legal practice, Maclen received an Ed.M. in Developmental Psychology from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education and taught courses in Psychology 101 at a community college in New York. During his graduate studies, he authored several peer-reviewed scientific articles in psychology journals and presented numerous guest lectures at various universities.

He is primarily interested in the various intersections between the law and neuroscience.
