About

Lori Kinsella, J.D., PsyD., has been a criminal defense attorney and writer for The California State Bar. She is an active psychologist and has worked for law enforcement and with private clients. She has written a book on overcoming trauma and hosted and produced a national award-winning legal television series on a PBS affiliate in Silicon Valley. Dr. Kinsella became interested in forensic psychology after her work in the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office where she observed the intersection of law and psychology in Drug Court, which viewed defendants as patients, not criminals. She is currently a freelance writer in Northern California.
