Jennifer Newson Ph.D.

Jennifer Newson, Ph.D., is Lead Scientist in Cognitive and Mental Health at Sapien Labs and has scientific interests spanning mental health, wellbeing, brain imaging and cognition. Her research focuses on new paradigms to assist the definition and assessment of cognitive and mental health. Of particular interest is to uncover the relationships between constellations of symptoms and brain signals. She has a B.Sc. in Neuroscience from Edinburgh University and a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University, UK. She did her postdoctoral work at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging at University College London and spent eight years leading the Neuroscience Research Group at Givaudan, the world’s largest Fragrance and Flavour company.
