David A. Clark, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, Department of Psychology, University of New Brunswick, Canada is a practicing clinical psychologist with 30+ years in providing cognitive behavioral treatment for anxiety, depression and obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD). He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Psychiatry, London and pursued postdoctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School under Dr. Aaron T. Beck. Author of 13 books and 160+ scientific papers, he maintained an active research program on the cognitive basis of the emotional disorders. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association, Founding Fellow/Trainer Consultant of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, and ad hoc consultant with the Beck Institute. He co-authored Cognitive Therapy for Anxiety Disorders (Guilford, 2010), and The Anxiety and Worry Workbook (Guilford, 2012) with Aaron T. Beck, founder of cognitive therapy. His most recent publications include The Anxious Thoughts Workbook (New Harbinger, 2018), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for OCD and Its Subtypes (Guilford; 2020), and The Negative Thoughts Workbook (New Harbinger, 2020.
