Update on XMRV in CFS

More studies showing positive for XMRV in CFS

Though research continues to show mixed findings, several more studies have shown positive for XMRV in CFS, including two in Europe (Spain and Norway). This suggests that the key is proper testing technology.

This continues to help increase awareness and acceptance of CFS. Though current treatments can be very helpful, there is always room for improvement, and we continue to explore new treatments that are promising. The push now is to research different antiviral treatments and combinations in people with CFS.

More interesting news? Professor Montoya, who did the original research using Valcyte for CFS, reported on a placebo-controlled study showing improvement in a subset of CFS patients suspected of having HHV 6 end EBV viral infections. This study will be submitted for publication later this month.

Things get more and more optimistic!
