I strive to be the counselor I would want to talk to. I am an OIF/OND Veteran that has extensive experience working with military and Veteran populations. I am trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I offer a holistic, harm reduction approach to recovery as well as generalized mental health services. I teach lasting happiness with positive psychology and energy practices. I want to help you reduce stress, and live an optimal life. I am also a certified yoga instructor, which helps to connect your mind, body, and spirit.
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy was developed by Dr. Albert Ellis and is a cognitive-behavioral alternative to traditional 12-step programs. This technique can effectively reduce the intensity of undesirable feelings such as cravings for substances, anxiety, depression, and etc. by disputing irrational beliefs. I also offer DBT and EMDR.
I use humor and a direct approach to life's problems. I offer a harm reduction and REBT to approach substance use disorders and a range of other modalities for trauma.
