You are enough. It's true. And sometimes we lost in the sauce and the journey is finding out way home. I work with people who have experienced trauma and grief, including oppression-based trauma. Working together, you will cultivate trust in your inner strengths, increase your ability to manage stress, process past wounds, and tend to ongoing challenges. We will weave in the impacts that systems of oppression have had on your well-being. I don't have a magic wand that can make the pain or challenges disappear, and I believe it is possible to cultivate a larger container that holds the complexities of being human with more ease.
We begin by collaborating on a focus for the day, perhaps a current stressor or ongoing theme, by mindfully exploring physical information, emotions, and beliefs. We may develop a supportive practice or process impactful memories. We tune into new insights and bringing them into your day-to-day life. And there is always room for laughter, joy, and play.
Coming to therapy can bring a mix of emotions, memories, fears, and hopes. Let's talk about those and what your goals are.
