I am a licensed therapist who specializes in person centered music therapy with children, adolescents and their families. I am passionate about helping people navigate their world in a culture that can often feel overwhelming. Our experiences, past and present, impact how we move through the world, the relationships we have, how we meet our needs and how we see ourselves and others. Through the use of talk, music and other creative modalities we will explore and engage with the things that may be showing up for you in your every day life and create a supportive space for you to be truly seen and heard.
For many children and teens, music acts as a soundtrack to their lives. By using music as a way to connect with a client, music therapy enables psychotherapeutic work through a co-created therapeutic relationship. Alongside talking, I utilize music tools such as music listening & analysis, songwriting and rhythmic regulation to support my clients.
