We all have times in our lives when we feel stuck or like something just isn't going right - life isn't playing out the way we hoped. Sometimes we can muddle our way through this on our own, and at other points it can be helpful to reach out and walk this part of your path with support. I'm a Clinical Psychologist with 8 years experience working with children, youth, and adults to help them better understand their experience and move towards living a valued and meaningful life, negotiating barriers to this as we go.
I currently work at Starship Children's Hospital and with both young people and adults for individual therapy in private practice. Using a warm and compassionate approach, therapy is tailored to each individual client and their particular needs.
I also run the 'Tuning Into Kids' parenting programme. TIK is an evidence-based programme which helps carers to become their child's 'emotion coach'. Emotion coaching is a way of responding to emotions that can help children to understand, regulate and work through their emotions so that they manage their behaviour and respond in socially appropriate ways.
