I am a psychiatrist with 30 years experience. Trained in the UK and NZ. Last 16 years specialised in Eating Disorders. I am also a psychotherapist experienced in individual and group therapy. I enjoy supervision which I have practised for 20 years. I enjoy working with the person on a formulation that makes sense so that we can decide on a plan going forward.
Currently working via Telehealth . I prefer to work out psychological ways of dealing with the presenting problem however I can also give advice on medication if this is needed. I worked for a Community Mental Health Team for years before I specialised in eating Disorders.
I work by reflecting together and bringing the big picture to make us understand the current present issues . Once we have this formulation we can work out what modality best addresses the person's difficulties.
