Counselling can assist individuals and couples with problems they are encountering due to issues such as: Being overwhelmed, suffering from grief & loss, difficulties encountered, chronic and acute stress, work-related stress, mental, physical & sexual abuse, anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties, poor communication. I can also assist with coming to terms with issues caused by events in the past such as, childhood wounds, physical sexual and mental abuse, post traumatic stress, lack of self confidence, identity crisis, low self-esteem, withdrawal, attachment issues and fear of change. I use specific modalities best suited to my clients needs. Everyone is different therefore It’s important to ensure clients receive the type of therapy that works for them and not a ‘one shoe fits all’ attitude. I’ve worked with many male clients successfully, and my ability to form a trusting relationship with them has helped with relationship Counselling.
What is important in Counselling is that the Client/Therapist relationship is one of connection with the ability to build trust, if you are not comfortable with me I will do my best to assist in finding someone who is a better fit. My age, life experiences and expertise combined, affords me the knowledge to work with my clients in a safe non-judgmental way.
