Depression Therapists in Auckland
I work with individuals, couples and polycules challenged by bereavement, divorce or separation, changes in status, identity & sexuality issues, and more.
It can be really difficult to share your deepest concerns, fears, and issues. Trusting another person with your ‘stuff’ can feel deeply uncomfortable and risky. With this in mind, I do my best to build a relationship with you (and your partner or partners) – in which you feel accepted and respected. No matter why you have come to therapy, or what you may share during each session, my role is to support and help you make sense of what's going on for you. It is not to judge, or tell you what to do.

I prioritize creating an open and honest environment where we can work together at your own pace.
I am originally from Argentina, where I earned my degree in Psychology. I moved to New Zealand in 2013, and it has since become my home. After relocating, I spent three years volunteering with Youthline, a role I found deeply rewarding. Over the years, I’ve continued my education while immersing myself in the culture of Aotearoa, learning about tāngata whenua and New Zealand's unique communities. Through my work, I’ve had the privilege of supporting diverse populations and contributing to their wellbeing.

I get that sleep issues take a toll.
You have trouble sleeping. You're tired (mind the pun) of lying awake at night tossing & turning. The thought of going to bed makes you worry. You don't drop off when you put your head on your pillow. If you do, you wake up during the night and can't get back to sleep for hours. You worry about the toll your sleeplessness is having on your health, your mood, your relationships and your ability to function at work. You want to sleep better. You want to look forward to bedtime. You want to wake up feeling refreshed. You want to feel like sleep isn't controlling your life. Assess your insomnia here: https://www.thebettersleepclinic.com

Through my personal and professional development, I've come to believe that the experience of adversity can evolve into empathy, wisdom, and strength when we walk a path that’s guided by our innate potential and personal values.

I am passionate about offering you techniques for overcoming hardship and uncertainty. With the right strategies and insights, you can learn to master your internal experience, enhance overall pleasure, and build a healthier relationship with yourself and your loved ones.

The journey of therapy can be expectedly daunting, yet surprisingly comforting when it feels right.
I hold the belief that everyone matters. This is my guiding principle in how I live my life and how I practice. I am trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist, with an emphasis on relational psychotherapy. I work intuitively and empathically with clients to facilitate the sharing and feeling of emotions, together. I believe the power of therapy lies in those ‘human-to-human’ moments when two hearts and two minds meet, when someone sees you, gets you and challenges you to grow. Our task is to create a space in which we can make your unconscious fears and desires more known, and therefore understood.

Contact me for an assessment of your needs and to have a conversation around how it is you want to approach your recovery/well-being.
I'm amongst the most prolific mindfulness based therapists (ACT, CBT, RLT & DBT) in Australasia. Key to my approach: appropriate validation, compassionate challenging, relational emphasis, the Inner Child that runs our lives. In essence, to live is to have won the lottery; but the win doesn't last indefinitely. Adult ADHD, substance dependency, relationships, grief, anxiety, parenting, doubt, feeling stuck... I believe we are all on a moving wellness continuum, & support is a logical need. Concerned by the number of people struggling to afford therapy - I adjusted my fees for these challenging times: mention how you found me.

Whether it’s Covid-19 or just being stressed when being stuck in traffic, I help people face the chaos of everyday life with a greater sense of calm and ease.
I empower people to make productive changes in their life. I work within the unique physical, mental, and emotional contexts of an individual, but pay particular attention to working through mental and emotional blocks that keep people from living a life full of health, vitality, and happiness. The core of what I do is reconnecting clients with their body so that they learn how to listen to their body and the wisdom it has to offer. We may not always like what we find there, but getting into our body transforms the way we relate to our mind, body, and the world.

I love to partner with people in their recovery from mental health challenges or transitional phases in life.
I specialise in women's health issues, and see individuals and couples impacted by fertility-related challenges, adjustment to parenthood, perimenopause and menopause, and gynaecological/endocrinological issues. My clients often present with mental health challenges including anxiety, low mood, trauma; and stress/burnout. Other common challenges are relationship issues, career/job stress, issues with identity and life purpose. My clients want to better understand the often confusing mix of factors contributing to their stuckness and to learn science-based tools to reduce suffering and help them thrive.
