My role as a counsellor is to work in collaboration with clients towards a journey of self-enlightenment and personal growth. I offer an empathetic, supportive and non-judgmental space. I use a person-centred approach to counselling where I incorporate different counselling techniques such as; CBT, Attachment, Development and Solution-focused counselling in order to best support my clients. I also am a certified prepare/enrich facilitator. Sessions are aimed at identifying specific goals (roadmap) that we can work on together. Goals provide greater direction and focus for counselling, as well as ensuing that expectations are met.

I'm amongst the most prolific mindfulness based therapists (ACT, CBT & DBT) in Australasia. I'm quoted as saying my expertise comes second, compassionate therapy begins with "validating the clients experience along with practical tools for change." Adult ADHD, giftedness, mindful therapy for substance abuse, grief, relationships, anxiety, depression, parenting... Clients want to heal and want to thrive. I believe we are all on a sliding wellness continuum, we need support from time to time. I am also deeply concerned by the number of people struggling to afford therapy - I have lowed my fee to assist in these difficult times.

I consider myself an eclectic psychologist, focused on adapting my intervention to each person. I am not very fond of follow the trend of labeling with diagnostics and jargon, but rather to first understand the unique person with whom I am working with, and then adapt the working tools accordingly. However, over the years of clinical practice, I have found that the work of emotions is central to all processes of transformation and personal growth, thus this is an intervention tool much present in my therapy room.

I empower people to make productive changes in their life. I work within the unique physical, mental, and emotional contexts of an individual, but pay particular attention to working through mental and emotional blocks that keep people from living a life full of health, vitality, and happiness. The core of what I do is reconnecting clients with their body so that they learn how to listen to their body and the wisdom it has to offer. We may not always like what we find there, but getting into our body transforms the way we relate to our mind, body, and the world.

In our current world people are expected to enter into a competitive and turbulent world of rapid changes. Skills that are needed would be flexibility, versatility, innovation, creativity, self motivation (to enable a person to make his or her own choices and act on them) social skills (this includes respecting one self as well as understanding and respecting others and their values and cultures), emotionally competent (to be compassionate towards others, to understand and manage uncomfortable emotions), courage and coand confidence (to be responsible to be able to learn from their mistakes and to keep on trying).

I am a psychotherapist, a supervisor, and a sex therapist; these disciplines intertwine and inform my clinical practice every day. My approach is psychodynamic, which means that you and I will work together, which will help us to unravel the meanings and interpretations that sometimes are affecting the way we see our life and the patterns we find ourselves in. When psychotherapy meets sex therapy, this tool encompasses all and every aspect of a person’s expressions of life.
