About

Wendy Paris is the author of Splitopia: Dispatches from Today's Good Divorce and How to Part Well (Simon & Schuster/Atria, 2016). Splitopia looks at how changes in laws and customs over the past 40 years have improved divorce for many, as have advances in psychology, technology, child development, and an increased understanding of the importance of the father. Splitopia also profiles former couples in positive, post-mariage relationships and follows her own separation-to-divorce.

Wendy was a 2014 Fellow with New America Foundation and a 2013 Encore Fellow through Encore.org. Her previous books were about marriage, weddings and dating. She has written for Psychology Today, The New York Times, QZ.com, Salon.com, The Forward, Self, Travel & Leisure and other publications and websites. She blogs about divorce at Splitopia.com. She also does book proposal consultation and ghostwriting and editing, and volunteers as a mentor editor with the Op-Ed Project.
