Timothy Pytell, Ph.D., is Professor of history California State University, San Bernardino. He is the author of Viktor Frankl’s Search for Meaning (Berghahn Books) and numerous articles on Holocaust survivors. He earned his BA in History and Philosophy at Colorado College in 1985 and his PhD in Modern European Intellectual History at New York University in 1999. He is currently working on a book focused on the phenomenology of Holocaust survival.
