Tiani Perkins, Ph.D., received her B.S. in psychology from Howard University in 2018 and her Ph.D. in the psychology of personality and social contexts at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Tiani uses survey research and first-person narratives to understand the behavioral impact of lived experiences and individual attitudes among students and faculty in STEM. Specifically, Tiani examines the implications of a growth mindset, awareness of systemic bias, and identity-based discrimination.
