Sarah Dermody Ph.D.
Sarah Dermody, Ph.D., C.Psych., (she/her) is the Director of the Clinical Addictions Research and Equity (CARE) Lab and Associate Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Biological & Health Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and completed a clinical internship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto. Following graduation, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at CAMH and then was hired as a tenure-track professor in the School of Psychological Science at Oregon State University. She is currently tenured in the Department of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University, and supervises MA and Ph.D. students in the Clinical Psychology and Psychological Science programs. She teaches courses related to research methods and statistics, addiction, and clinical and health psychology. She also works part-time at a private practice, EBT3, providing individual and couples therapy to adults.
