Marilyn Price-Mitchell Ph.D.
Marilyn Price-Mitchell is a developmental psychologist, researcher, speaker, author, and Institute for Social Innovation Fellow at Fielding Graduate University. She has a Ph.D. in human development and an M.A. in human and organizational systems from Fielding. Her undergraduate degree in sociology is from the University of Michigan. Her research and practice focuses on positive youth development, youth civic engagement, and how families, schools, and communities build partnerships that benefit youth. She created ParentNet®, a school-based initiative that engages parents and educators in discussions about cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Dr. Price-Mitchell is author of Tomorrow’s Change Makers: Reclaiming the Power of Citizenship for a New Generation. She is founder of Roots of Action, a website that shares research-based articles and resources on K-12 positive youth development for parents, teachers, and youth mentors.
