Jane Ogden, Ph.D., is currently a Professor at the University of Surrey, UK, where she teaches psychology, vet, nutrition, dietetic and medical students to think more psychologically about health. Her research focuses on eating behaviour, weight management, symptom perception and aspects of women’s health. She has published 8 books and over 250 research articles. She is also a regular contributor to TV, radio and print media including ‘The truth about fat’; ‘The truth about takeaways’; ‘Secret eaters’ and articles for The inews, The Sun and The Daily Mail. After 35 years of academic life she remains passionate about being critical, psychological thinking and understanding the relationship between the mind and body. But slightly less passionate about academic life!
