About

Isabelle Brocas, Ph.D., is a professor of economics at the University of Southern California and the co-director of the Los Angeles Behavioral Economics Laboratory (LABEL) and the Theoretical Research in Neuroeconomic Decision-making (TREND) Institute. My research aims to better understand how people make decisions and what motivates them. I specifically study the relationship between biological processes, cognition, and decision-making. I am particularly interested in those that occur during childhood and adolescence and how they interact with environmental factors, such as school curricula or socio-economic status, to shape behavior.
