David Lewis BSc (Hons) DPhil is a neuroscientist and Chartered Psychologist. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, the International Stress Management Association and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. David is Chairman and Director of Research at Mindlab International. Based at the University of Sussex, it specialises in brain research. He started by studying medicine but switched to psychology and gained a First Class Honours degree in psychology and a doctorate from the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Sussex. After lecturing there in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology he left to set-up Mindlab International. He lectures internationally on impulsivity and its effects on decision-making, problem solving and health. He was a keynote speaker at the 2011 Festival of Thinkers held in the UAE. David has developed several unique biofeedback and neurofeedback therapies to assist in reducing disabling impulsivity. The author of several books on psychology his work has been featured on television programmes around the world.
