Christina M. Grange, Ph.D., is an associate professor of Psychology at Clayton State University. Her clinical training focused on the well-being and optimal development of young people in the context of their families. Recent research and clinical work have evolved to focus on how to best support Black unmarried parents working to successfully co-parent their child or children. Recent writing related to that work is featured by the National Institute for Diversity.

Grange received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, prior to receiving her Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed pre-doctoral training at the University of Illinois—Chicago and post-doctoral training at the University of Georgia’s Center for Family Research. These experiences combine to provide a unique perspective for how to use research and adapt related resources to better serve diverse family structures and promote the psychological wellness of communities. She is with The Fern Center for Life in Atlanta, Georgia

Charlie L. Harris is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Clayton State University where she is actively involved in training future clinicians. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, and her graduate training at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida, where she received both her Master of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology. Her clinical training emphasized the techniques of psychological assessment and conduct of psychotherapy with adults as well as health psychology. She spent the greater portion of her career working in behavioral medicine within an integrated academic medical setting. Her research spans areas including stress management interventions, psychosocial predictors of preventive health behaviors, and weight-related health perceptions with women of color. Recent research and clinical focus are on women’s mental health and the Superwoman Syndrome. She is with Sapience Life Solutions, a psychotherapy and coaching practice for women located in Tyrone, Georgia.

Allyse Sturdivant Williams, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Illinois. She received her master’s and doctorate degrees from Loyola University Chicago in Clinical Psychology and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida. Sturdivant Williams’ areas of interest are trauma, health psychology, and diversity. Sturdivant Williams owns a private psychological practice where she focuses on treating Black women and girls who have issues related to trauma.

Sturdivant Williams believes that we are all lifelong learners and that at every stage of life we are responsible for sharing what we’ve learned with others. She is committed to serving others by empowering them to grow, change, heal, and thrive.
