Alec Beall, Ph.D., received his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia in 2016 and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at UBC supported by a fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. He has authored numerous original research articles on romantic attraction and human mate preferences. His main research goal is to further scholarly knowledge and understanding of close romantic relationships, sexual attraction, and goal-oriented human behavior more broadly.
