Reality Has No Meaning Without You

Why changing your mind changes everything.

We do not observe reality,

we observe our REACTIONS to it.

In other words:

Reality is, in essence, neutral.

YOU give it meaning.

Although spending time in the realm of academia gave me opportunities to explore many aspects of my intellect, it also made me painfully aware of the generally accepted split between the "subjectiveness" of thoughts and the "objectiveness" of the world outside.

During the years I spent studying art, psychology, and communication, I never felt that my or the other students’ thoughts truly mattered—unless of course, they were the "right" thoughts: confirming an already fixed and "objective" view of the world outside.

It seems that, at least in the academic realm, the "objective" reality does not have to prove anything. It simply is. Accepted as it is—as The Truth. I, on the other hand, had to prove every thought.

The key discoveries of early quantum physics reveal to us that the elemental essence of reality is not an objective physical, material reality "out there." Instead, the reality out there, it tells us, is unlimited probabilities and possibilities waiting for a subjective consciousness to think them into being. And yet Western society has not adapted to these scientifically proven facts. Our current worldview—one in which human beings have to adjust and submit to a fixed objective material reality out there—is indisputably accepted as the supreme one.

So, how does this worldview affect us?

It leaves us with a split reality experience where "in here" and "out there" never meet. Where "out there" is the only truth and therefore has more authority than "in here." Where "out there" is objective, concrete, real, and indisputable, whereas "in here" is private, lucid, surreal, and questionable. This worldview projects a reality where we seem to live in our subjective "in here" bubbles, aimlessly floating in the objective "out there" reality and able to respond and react only to whatever the "out there" reality throws at us. We feel that we are not in charge of our own reality because it appears to be conditioned and ruled by unyielding "out there" facts and truths.

It is a reality into which we are born and compelled to participate—but cannot change.

Here is a suggestion: Take a bite of the apple and understand where you are and how your reality works:

REALITY

has no meaning of its own.

YOU

give it meaning

by what you

perceive and define

it to be.

CHANGE

your mind

and everything

changes.

Every event, incident or thing that happens in your life is neutral in origin. You define it into existence by giving it your meaning. It is your definition of the circumstances that colors the experience and gives it a positive or negative charge. You are the subjective consciousness thinking it into being by choosing to observe it.

The only real and truly objective reality is

All That Is containing all that is.

Everything else is created and perceived

by focused awareness through a subjective mind.

YOU ("in here") and your reality ("out there") are ONE. Your reality is created by YOU.
