Counselling is a space where a person is encouraged to meet their own truth and relate this truth to another person within the human condition. A person is able to meet their true or real self in the presence of empathy, non-judgement and unconditional positive regard. I strive to provide these conditions to foster healing and promote well-being in all my clients in the therapeutic space I offer. A person who wants change in one or more aspects of their lives with a desire to reach their full potential is an individual who is on the road to personal and emotional growth and development.
Within therapy, I adopt an integrative approach. My work is informed by person centred therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy combined with emotion focussed interventions. I also conduct assessments and tests for diagnostic purposes with the aim to aid my clients gain access to resources and services to improve their quality of life.
I believe, to achieve genuine fulfillment in life and heal from painful life experiences, one has to continuously nurture one's emotional well-being and strengthen inner resilience; which is what we are all born with. Mental health issues are a part of human existence. To work with them and heal from them are the goals of my work.
