Psychotherapy facilitates people who wish to go on a self-exploratory journey to increase self-awareness. It also is a safe, non-judgmental space for people to process grief and loss, boost self-esteem, relationship issues, sexuality/gender concerns and to safely heal from trauma. My philosophy as a therapist is to treat each person with uniqueness and unconditional positive regard. I believe that the client is the expert in their own life and my job is to act as the guide or a facilitator of this journey. To help the client find their real self and to empower individuals to be true to their unique authentic person they are.
As a psychotherapist it is my job to see the whole person sitting in front of me. To listen, observe and notice without judgement. To work hard at seeing the client for who they really are. This will allow the client the space to get to know and accept all their contradictions and complexities.
