Talking is medicine. I don't mean it's like medicine; I mean IT IS medicine. It heals. It gives clarity and perspective; It makes people feel better. I have been lucky enough to help and witness people change how they think and feel so that life feels easier - not so damn difficult all the time. I have seen the smiles on faces as lifelong emotional burdens are put down and life can be lived fully again. I have had the privilege of helping people from all walks of life deal with many types of issues; from the immediate, such as trouble with work, to challenges and issues whose roots stretch back to childhood.
I listen and ask questions. The type of listening I do is called active listening - it's not like normal conversation. If you have been to therapy or counseling before you will know what I mean. If you haven't, then what is unusual about it is that it is all about you. I listen and ask questions about you. There is no me. There is only you. That's it.
I am trained in a variety of techniques which I could list like Person Centred, or IFS, or CBT etc. but what's far more important is you and why you are looking for help now. Perhaps you already know why and you can explain it, or maybe you just feel it, but can't put it into words. Whatever the case I listen and ask questions and we will work on it together
