I believe that attending therapy is a brave and vulnerable step. I aim to always provide a safe space for my clients, where they can feel seen and heard. I strives to create an atmosphere of warmth and validation, where clients can be comfortable in opening up and feel that their issues are being acknowledged and held. In the creation of a nonjudgmental and empathetic space, clients can be met exactly where they are at. Each client’s experience of therapy is different, and I work to adapt and collaborate with each person, based on their needs.
My approach is holistic in nature. I draw from Emotion Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy in my practice, with underpinnings in Person Centre Therapy. I am also neuroaffirmative, working with neurodivergent individuals in a strengths based way, where difference is embraced, not discouraged.
I will follow the lead of the client, as they are the expert of their own experiences.
