Hello, my name is Elaine and I’m a fully accredited Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist and EFT tapping practitioner and I’m passionate about helping individuals with anxiety-related issues learn how to calm their anxiety, self-soothe without reassurance seeking, rediscover their authentic selves and gain freedom. The majority of my practice focuses on general anxiety, fears, agoraphobia and avoidance, health anxiety, relationship anxiety, trauma and OCD. My approach is person-centred and integrative.
As an Humanistic Integrative therapist, I utilise different methods to best suit the needs of the client. Person-Centred methods focus on the client's unique experiences and the belief that each individual has the capacity for growth and change, with an emphasis on the client's strengths, and moving at their pace. I integrate somatic work using EFT/ Tapping.
EFT is a technique that combines self-applied acupressure or "tapping" on meridian points on the top half of the body while focusing on your thoughts and feelings.
