Scott Grafton MD

Scott Grafton, MD, holds the Bedrosian Coyne Presidential Chair in Neuroscience at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is the director of the UCSB Brain Imaging Center and co-director of the Institute for Collaborative Biotechnologies, which draws on bio-inspiration and innovative bioengineering solutions for both nonmedical and medical challenges posed by the defense and medical communities. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California and specialty training in neurology and nuclear medicine.

Grafton is an avid alpinist with many high-altitude ascents and wilderness meanderings.
