Ronald Stolberg, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and professor at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University and author of the best-selling and award-winning book Teaching Kids to Think: Raising Confident, Independent, and Thoughtful Children in an Age of Instant Gratification.

Dr. Stolberg’s clinical specialty is working with children and teenagers and their families. He is a strong proponent of family therapy and sees progress only when the entire system changes, not just one family member. Additionally, Dr. Stolberg specializes in assessing and managing high-risk behaviors including suicide, self-harm, and substance use disorders.

Because of this expertise, Dr. Stolberg routinely finds himself working with sports leagues, television shows, and high-profile entertainers and athletes. He was the psychologist for the hit reality television show Survivor and has had numerous speaking engagements and media appearances as an expert on parenting, child development, and sport psychology.
