Kendra Levin

Kendra Levin is an editorial director at Simon & Schuster, as well as a teacher, coach, and author. She has taught classes for a range of populations from media professionals to prison inmates, and has spoken at conferences, run workshops, and facilitated retreats for writers and other creative artists in over twenty states. Most recently, she has facilitated classes for defendants awaiting trial with the Focus Forward Project.

Kendra is the author of The Hero Is You, a grounded guide to a more fulfilling creative process. Her advice for writers has been featured in Writer's Digest and on the National Novel Writing Month blog, among others. Kendra's theatrical works have been produced Off- and Off-Off Broadway and regionally, and her eclectic professional writing credits include celebrity speeches, bar guides, and Mad Libs. Her home base is New York City.
