Dan Hurley has written four books and hundreds of science articles in the past 25 years for The New York Times, the Washington Post, Discover magazine, Neurology Today, Wired, and more. His 1994 article for Psychology Today, "Imminent Danger," won an award for investigative journalism from the American Society of Journalists and Authors. For his new book, Smarter, he spent nearly three years interviewing hundreds of researchers and study participants, and tested many of the intelligence-building methods on himself. He also has a secret identity as a performance writer known as the "60-Second Novelist."
