Allison Carmen
Allison is a business consultant, business and life coach, podcaster, and the author of The Gift of Maybe: Offering Hope and Possibility in Uncertain Times. The book was published by Penguin Random House in 2014 and has been translated into three languages. This self-help book focuses on how people can reduce their daily stress and worry and find more hope, success, and presence by embracing the mindset of Maybe. Allison is also the author of A Year Without Men, a Twelve Point Guide To Inspire and Empower Women. The book was published by Skyhorse Publishing in 2021. Allison’s popular podcast is called 10 Minutes To Less Suffering and can be found on all major podcasting platforms.
Allison’s work about Maybe and uncertainty was featured in the New York Times with her article, "Why Are We Always Looking For Certainty In Our Lives," read by Justin Malik from the podcast, Optimal Daily Living. O The Oprah Magazine included the concept of Maybe as an example of “mind-blowing new definitions for everyday words” and cited it in their new and improved Dictionary to Enlightenment.
Allison has written numerous articles for several popular online magazines including Daily Beast, The Daily News, The Ethel, Psychology Today, Huffington Post, and Inc.com.

Allison has a B.A. in accounting, a J.D. of Law, and a Master’s of Law in taxation. Currently, Allison serves as the part-time CFO of the Motherhood Center in New York City, a multi-million dollar revenue all-women company providing care to women who are suffering from postpartum depression.
