I'm a trauma-informed therapist using a relational approach to help client transform unhelpful patterns, live more freely and fully, find lasting joy, and build satisfying relationships. In you I see a unique and complex person with your individualised temperaments, feelings, relational patterns, and unmet needs. In therapy, we dissect your distress from a compassionate angle and fathom how the past is affecting our present difficulties. Positive changes follow as we get to express what was repressed, clear blockages, hence expand the freedom to make self-directed choices in life. I'm trilingual and speak English/Cantonese/Mandarin.

Starting therapy can be a big step towards a more fulfilling and happy life. Many people feel a general sense of dissatisfaction, and they might know why, but they might not. It can feel like looking at a tangled ball of string and pulling on any of the threads can be overwhelming. That’s where therapy can help, I can provide you space to look at these issues individually, with the care and knowledge to feel able to do so. I use an integrative, person-centred approach, allowing flexibility for you to see what works. Whether you're struggling with work stress, interpersonal or families issues, I can help you move towards your goals.

Online psychotherapist with an eclectic and inventive approach. Practicing Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I believe that people already have within themselves what they need in order to overcome their struggles. All it takes is a bit of guidance and someone to ask the right questions. My wish for my clients is that they find the inner freedom to live the life that they want. I mostly work with expats, travelers, digital nomads, burners - I can relate to the lifestyle and can appreciate the need for flexibility and rescheduling sessions when necessary, however, anyone is welcome.

Everyone has their own unique and complex story and experiences, struggles, fears and painful feelings. These emotional experiences and inner needs are affected by your personal background, life experiences, and various interpersonal traumas. These need to be listened to and understood. Psychotherapy is a very safe and powerful space. It is also a collaborative process between you and me. It can help you better understand your own set of needs, build a more flexible psychological strength to accept yourself, and discover your inner strength to bring about change for yourself.

In a therapeutic relationship in which we are ourselves without a social mask and fully present, our brains, the most amazing organs in the universe, are continually shaped. You don't need to succumb to anxiety, stress, and other negative emotions. False fears and wrong beliefs affect all of us, you are not alone. Thoughts are not facts. Once you have become proficient at identifying your automatic thoughts and emotions, you could live the life you love and love the life you live. When thinking about the most meaningful life for yourself, you could also consider your strengths and how to make use of your own great potential.

Female Counsellors
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
