My main disciplines are Psychodynamic Therapy, Individual (Adlerian) Therapy and some CBT techniques. I have experience working in NHS Primary care, within charities and also in private practice, I also run therapeutic groups. My work is suitable for solution-focused brief therapy as well as long-term counselling. As an integrative practitioner I also draw on other training such as Group Therapy, Bereavement Training and Addiction Training.
Counselling encourages you to examine your ways of relating to others, as well as your feelings and can raise your self-awareness, which can help you to see your situation more clearly and restore your ability to choose. I work in a gental and collaborative way to help you to understand what is happening in your life and how you can make positive changes.
You will be listened to with great care and attention, I will work with you to help you to think about yourself and your experiences. In time, you will build up trust in our therapeutic relationship and beable to talk about the issues and feelings that are worrying you.
