Anxiety presents comes in many guises. Folk usually say they want to feel better and that the unrest has reached such a pitch that they felt they had to see somebody. 'I should have come years ago', 'I bottle things up', 'I've been having panic attacks', 'My relationship is suffering', 'I feel so angry', 'my confidence is worse than ever'. 'online sex/gambling/eating/drinking/buying is taking me over', 'I can't be among folk', 'I've gone off sex', 'I don't have the concentration to read or watch a film', etc, etc.
Of course you might not like me, I might remind you of someone in some way. On the other hand you might think I am okay. Every therapist gets individuals who have been to another therapist or organisation and 'got nothing from it'.
