Hi, I'm Dr Damian Wilde, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with several years experience of working with children and adults in the NHS and privately. I work with people who have unfortunately experienced trauma and other difficult life events. Adverse events often lead to psychological health problems, which can be very distressing and detrimental to a person.

My main specialism is psychodynamic psychotherapy. Building up a therapeutic relationship is key. I place great emphasis on this and ensure this is within a warm and compassionate space. I will help people to understand why they're struggling (through formulation), process traumas, and build up self-soothing skills, self-worth, and self-identity.

It's a privilege to share in people's stories and it is something that I value. I establish special therapeutic relationships with people I work with; they are very important to me and I do everything I can to help guide them towards recovery, which I often witness.
