There are moments in many people's lives when external events can feel overwhelming. You may be feeling low and unhappy yet not able to understand why. You may have experienced a bereavement or a life changing event in your life and just need space to talk. I will actively listen, reflect and provide a supportive, caring and non-judgemental space to enable you to collect your thoughts and talk about anything that is troubling you. The sessions will give you space and time to think about yourself and your needs.
I previously worked in Social Care and Training & Development. Since qualifying as a counsellor/psychotherapist I have worked with a loss and bereavement charity, a domestic abuse agency and a mental health and wellbeing charity. I have been in private practice for over 4 years.
As a Person Centred Counsellor I believe each person is the expert in their own life Our therapeutic relationship will be underpinned by trust, empathy, unconditional positive regard & genuineness. Together, we will work at your pace and explore any trauma, loss, past hurts and difficulties you may be experiencing and begin to untangle your world.
