Life is an adventure. Only through exploring a new path, the strength you will feel tomorrow will move you forward for that change. Reaching out can be overwhelming, daunting draining & can lead to a downward spiral, of being in a dark place, if you do not have the support, which pushes you to your comfort zone. This can sometimes be more harmful than helpful to your journey of change, if you cannot trust, feel uncomfortable to open up, or have no one that really listens to your cries, as you feel you are seen, but not heard, undervalued or not acknowledged. Let alone checked in, if you are okay. Well guess what? YOU are not alone.

I am qualified as Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, and work both on time limited sessions as well as open-ended long-term basis with my clients. I work in person and online. I trained at the Metanoia Institute of Counselling and Psychotherapy and have qualified with a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. The modality I have trained in is called TA – Transactional Analysis which is an Integrative approach and I use a rage of theories from my studies to underpin my work. But ultimately the relationship is key to the success of therapy and that is why I suggest we have six sessions to see how we go.

I am counselling psychologist and integrative psychotherapist that has worked with couples and individuals for over 20 years. Being an integrative psychotherapist means, I believe that different approaches are needed to deal with the individual needs of my client - one size does not fit all. With that in mind, I have trained within various approaches, so I can offer a more holistic and in-depth approach in how I work. Working with my clients, I see us finding ways of overcoming or addressing the issues that are presented, in a way that feels authentic to how they are as people.

I believe that as human beings we seek safety, comfort and pleasure, and with this in mind, I aim to create a safe space in the therapy room, by building a therapeutic relationship with the client in the present, being with the client in their discomfort or confusion and exploring with them, experiences on an emotional level which helps them to find meaning in their world. I work existentially, however, I do draw from a number of disciplines to creatively attend to the presenting needs of the clients, helping them to find meaning and purpose in their lives and their relationships.

Reaching out for help is a courageous act and can mean that you feel anxious, lost, burnout, ‘not enough’… Therapy could help to reframe the way you think, feel, or behave. I see therapeutic change as the process of exploring, understanding, and most importantly accepting different aspects of the self. This way life can be lived more authentically, meaningfully, and creatively. I provide an empathetic, non-discriminatory, and attentive environment for you to share whatever it is that's on your mind. I believe in healing power of being truly seen, heard, and understood and as a therapist I intend to facilitate it.

I am an experienced counsellor who provides an empathic, supportive, and non-judgemental space in which an authentic dialogue can develop to explore what’s going on for you. I aim to help you navigate your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to deepen your awareness of how it is to be you. I believe that in an empathic and safe therapeutic relationship, you can access your inner resources to help you heal and grow. I understand how daunting it can be asking for help and sometimes it’s not clear what needs to change in your life to help you feel better. In your own time, we can work together to better understand this.

It may feel lonely and unexplainable and yet time passes by. My name is Erika Mancini. I am a Relational Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist. I specialise in trauma, childhood trauma, PTSD, Complex PTSD, anxiety, depression and relationships. I believe we are all shaped by the relationships we experienced while growing up and that this can sometimes result in adaptations or coping mechanisms that may prevent us from becoming who we really are.
