I have a broad experience of working with people - charity work, MIND, Samaritans, the corporate sector and facilitating on personal development retreats in UK and abroad. I believe we are all unique. However this uniqueness, our essence, is usually suppressed in order to prioritise coping with life's events/challenges. This adapting can generate a personality which no longer serves us. This often manifests as anxiety, depression or loss of purpose. An opportunity exists to dive beneath the patterns and rediscover what we want from our lives and relationships. I look to guide people through this journey.
Gently and wisely looking across our life we can see clearly what is going on and why this has developed. From here we then explore what you would love to do more of/less of and what stands in the way. There might be beliefs, thoughts or behaviours to modify. I aim to work creatively and deeply to help people feel connected with themselves and find purpose.
I usually suggest we have a 20 minute phone/video call to meet. I will listen and then we can ask each other a few questions, and see if we feel we are likely to work well together. Choice of therapist is the single most important factor influencing outcome. I will always say if I feel I cannot help or if I think another route/option may better suit you.
