Hello, I'm Tammy. I'm a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and have worked in the NHS for over 25 years, in addition to working in private practice for 5 years. I use a wide range of evidence based talking therapies to help adults with a wide range of difficulties, enabling people to lead more fulfilling lives. Therapies used include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Intervention is tailored to suit individual need based on unique circumstances, experiences and preferences.
Examples of difficulties that I can help with include depression and low mood, trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, specific fears and phobias, intrusive thoughts, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, low confidence and self esteem, bereavement and loss, adjustment to physical illness. Appointments are available in person, via video or telephone.
Most of us at some point in our lives will struggle with aspects of our mental health. Life can be really tough and can present many challenges. It takes courage to make that initial step and reach out for help.
