I offer individual Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT) for Children, Adolescents and Adults who may be struggling with their day to day activities as a result of feeling low, anxious or stressed owing to relationships, school, education, anxiety disorders, intrusive thoughts and depression. Together we will establish the individual's goals for therapy and how they would like their life to be different.
CBT is an evidence based practice recommended in the NICE guidelines for the treatment of most mental health difficulties. I have a very long history of working with children and families with 13 years of experience in working with children, adolescents and adults with mental health difficulties.
I understand starting therapy can be very anxiety provoking. It may be the first time you have shared really difficult intrusive thoughts. Our sessions will be structured to allow you time to develop trust in the therapeutic relationship in order for you to begin to be able to share, having learnt that I am here to help and not making judgements.
