I am an experienced Humanistic counsellor and am passionate about the positive changes therapy can bring. Sometimes our lives become overwhelming, complicated and confusing and problems get bottled up. A skilled listener can help you explore your thoughts, behaviours and emotions to help gain understanding, insight and clarity. This can lead to more positive choices, renewed resilience and feeling more in control again. I believe that the counsellor/client relationship is at the heart of successful therapy, so I aim to establish a warm, trusting, safe and non-judgemental space where you feel confident to express your concerns.
My approach is person-centered, meaning that sessions are non-directive and client led. I work at your pace and with what your focus is. My role is not advice giving, but rather to work alongside to support and empower you to explore your unique challenges. I will use my skills, impartiality and empathy to help you reflect, evaluate and gain new perspectives
I appreciate that admitting you need help and taking that first step can feel daunting, and I never forget what it is like to be in the client's shoes. Hence I offer a free initial video consultation to check we are a good fit for each other and you feel comfortable with what to expect. If you choose to work with me, we would then make further arrangements.
